With all the best blessings of morning, I set off towards the city. If I am mistaken in any way, the path must be played out completely. I can use my second chance to save myself or my son. It's too late for both of us if I'm wrong.
So I journey on, training myself to spend that last breath of reason to eat the flower should it come to that, to take us back to before the deer and before the squirrel, so I might protect him in some other way.
Otherwise, without better options, I must play this game of the world to exhaustion.
